It’s a civil war which divide the country in two. Summer finds herself on the wrong side where she’s on the run, fighting for survival when the women’s detention center is destroyed during the war. Along with other prisoners must escape the dictatorship that wants to use these women to repopulate the new world. She seeks the help of her ex-girlfriend in order to flee before it’s too late.
This short story is a Sapphic dystopian tale a la the popular Handmaid’s Tale.
